Lucknow, Aug 17 (IANS) An inter-state gang of tractor thieves has been busted with the arrest of four people in the Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said Sunday. “Those arrested from Sasni in Hathras District have said they operate in various states including Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh,” District Superintendent of Police Anil Das told IANS on phone.

“The gang members used to sell the stolen tractors at low prices to farmers in different states,” he added. Hathras is about 280 km from state capital Lucknow.

Four tractors have been recovered from the gang members, the official added.
