Lucknow, June 2 (IANS) The merit list of the Uttar Pradesh state board’s class 10 exams is now under the scanner with the education department coming across irregularities committed by some students while filling up the exam forms, an official said Monday. “Some of students in the merit list had filled the exam forms from two schools, of which one was run by their relatives. Later, these students appeared in the exams from the schools run by their relatives. That might have helped them score more marks,” said a senior board official.

State secondary education board secretary Prabha Tripathi told IANS: “We will ensure action is taken against authorities and the students who misguided us”.

She added that affiliation given to such schools will be scrapped at the earliest.
