US woman bobbitises husband
July 13th, 2011 - 6:53 pm ICT by IANSLondon, July 13 (IANS) A woman in California allegedly drugged her husband, tied him to a bed and cut off his genitals before throwing them into the garbage, police said.
Catherine Kieu Becker, 48, told police her husband “deserved it”, The Sun reported.
The 51-year-old husband was in a serious condition in hospital after having surgery.
The woman is facing charges of spousal abuse, the daily said.
One of the first such incidents that gained notoriety was when John Wayne Bobbitt of New York was attacked by his wife Lorena Bobbitt in 1993. Lorena severed John’s genitals with a knife. The genitals were later surgically re-attached.
