US strike kills over a dozen in Pakistan

Islamabad, Oct 31 (DPA) More than a dozen people were killed in an airstrike carried out by a suspected US drone in Pakistan’s tribal region along the Afghanistan border Friday, security officials said.”A US pilotless aircraft fired two guided missiles on the house of a person named Amanullah in Asori village of Mir Ali sub-district of North Waziristan,” a security official said on condition of anonymity.

The house was demolished and caught fire. People were trying to pull out the dead and the injured from the rubble but the fire was hampering their efforts, the official added.
