US man held over Pentagon bomb plot
September 29th, 2011 - 4:15 am ICT by IANSWashington, Sep 29 (IANS) A US man was arrested over plotting to blow up the Pentagon and the US Capitol with large explosives-laden remote-controlled aircraft.
Rezwan Ferdaus, 26, of Ashland, Massachusetts, was arrested Wednesday when he tried to procure explosives and machine guns from undercover federal agents, Xinhua reported.
Attorney Carmen Ortiz said in Boston that Ferdaus was charged with aerial bombing plot and attempts to deliver bomb-making materials for use against US troops in Iraq. Ferdaus began planning the attack in early 2010.
