The expect committee’s report was submitted to the court by Advocate General Navaneetha Krishnan.
The committee was constituted by the Tamil Nadu government on the orders of apex court June 15.
The court had ordered continuance of uniform education system for classes 1 and 6 and constitution of a committee by the state government.
The committee was asked to submit its report by July 6 to the high court which would hear the case daily and decide it in a week’s time.
The uniform education system is the common syllabus for students under matriculation level and the state board brought in by the erstwhile DMK government.
However, the AIADMK government decided to put on hold the implementation of the system by amending the Tamil Nadu Uniform System of School Education Act.
Copies of the report were given to the petitioners who wanted continuation of the uniform system of education.
The experts committee is headed by Chief Secretary Debendranath Sarangi. The other members are DAV Group of schools founder and secretary C. Jaidev, former director of Central Middle Grade Education Board G. Balasubramanian, Lady Andal Matriculation School’s former principal Vijayalakshmi Srinivasan, and Padma Seshadri Group of schools’ principal and director Y.G.Parthasarathy. Two other members, K.Tripathy and Anil Sethi, represent the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT).
The state education secretary is also a member and the state director of school education is the member secretary of the committee.
The panel found grammatical errors in the text books and some lessons were difficult for all the students to understand.
The panel said the syllabus was prepared in a hurry.
