Underworld gang member nabbed
September 2nd, 2011 - 11:34 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Sep 2 (IANS) An aide of underworld don Bannanje Raja, wanted by the Karnataka police, was arrested in this Uttar Pradesh capital Friday, an official said.
Javed Khan was arrested by Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) from Gomti Nagar locality.
?Acting on a tip-off we nabbed Javed Khan, who worked as a shooter for the gang of Bannanje Raja in Karnataka,? Senior Superintendent of Police (STF) Vijay Prakash told reporters here.
?The Karnataka police had sought our assistance to nab Khan, who was working with the Raja?s gang for the last several years,?? he added.
According to police, Khan is a native of Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi district.
