UN chief visits Dubai
November 13th, 2011 - 7:39 pm ICT by IANSDubai, Nov 13 (IANS/WAM) UN Secretary-general Ban Ki-moon Sunday met top officials of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and reviewed issues of regional and international interest.
Ban held a meeting with Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Dubai crown prince Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
They also discussed a number of humanitarian issues. The UN chief hailed the UAE’s humanitarian efforts and its role in alleviating suffering of the people in poor regions.
