Uday Varma takes charge as I and B ministry secretary
October 20th, 2011 - 10:59 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 20 (IANS) Uday Kumar Varma, a 1976 batch IAS officer, Thursday took over as the new secretary in the information and broadcasting ministry.
Varma succeeds Raghu Menon, who retired last month.
Earlier, Varma was serving as Secretary in the Union Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
A Masters in Public Administration from the prestigious Kennedy School of Government, Varma had earlier served the information and broadcasting ministry as additional secretary and special secretary.
