UAE seeks to strengthen ties with Australia
May 6th, 2011 - 12:02 am ICT by IANSMelbourne, May 5 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates is keen on developing its bilateral relations with Australia, UAE State Minister Reem Ibrahim Al Hashimi here said.
Al Hashimi is heading the UAE’s visiting delegation, which has arrived in Australia to participate in the two-day Australia-Arab Business Forum and Expo 2011 in Melbourne.
Both the countries have consolidated their relations in many fields including trade, economy and culture within a short period of time, the minister stated.
The two countries were interested in furthering the relations in fields of agriculture, animal production, technology and tourism, she added.
The minister said this during inauguration of the forum organised by the Arab-Australian Chamber of Trade and Industry in Melbourne.
The UAE delegation will discuss ways to strengthen economy, exchange expertise and open new avenues of cooperation.
