UAE officials meet envoys

Abu Dhabi, Nov 29 (IANS/WAM) The ruler of Fujairah in the UAE has met the ambassadors of the US, South Korea, Azerbaijan, Syria and Iraq, while the deputy ruler of Dubai met a top US counter-terrorism official.

Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, ruler of Fujairah, Tuesday met US ambassador Michael Corbin and South Korean ambassador Kwon Tae-Kyun.

The officials reviewed bilateral ties between the countries and ways to strengthen relations at various levels.

On Monday, Sheikh Hamad met Azerbaijan ambassador Qhermanov, Syrian ambassador Abdul Latif Dabbagh and Iraqi ambassador Arshad Al Musali.

Sheikh Hamad wished the ambassadors success in their assignments.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy ruler of Dubai, met Monday American undersecretary for terrorism and financial crimes David Cohen and discussed a number of issues of common concern.
