UAE hails Nazarbayev’s idea to modernise Muslim World
June 8th, 2011 - 10:53 pm ICT by IANSAstana, June 8 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Wednesday welcomed the view put forth by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev suggesting the need for modernisation of the Muslim world.
UAE Minister for Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, following a meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, said the country welcomes proposals announced by Nazarbayev for modernising the Muslim World while addressing the 7th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in Astana.
The UAE, under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is setting today a model to be emulated in sustainable development and regional and international partnership and cooperation, said Al Mansouri.
