UAE-Britain relations important: Prince Andrew
November 25th, 2011 - 12:47 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Nov 24 (IANS/WAM) The relationship between Britain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is “extremely important”, said visiting Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, Thursday.
Speaking at a garden party held at the British embassy in Abu Dhabi, Andrew, visiting the UAE to represent Britain’s Queen Elizabeth on the occasion of the UAE’s 40th National Day, said he was confident that the relationship was of equal importance to the UAE.
Noting the long-standing links between the governments and people of both the countries, as well as those between the ruling families, Andrew reaffirmed his country’s “commitment to the continuing relationship”.
