UAE attorney general hails amnesty for 554 prisoners
November 28th, 2011 - 12:27 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Nov 27 (IANS/WAM) United Arab Emirates’ Attorney General Salem Saeed Kubaish has lauded the amnesty granted to 554 prison inmates in the country by President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The amnesty leaves a good impact on the released prisoners as it will motivate them to start a righteous life, said Kubaish, while calling on them to exert efforts to redress their past life to rebuild better future.
Kubaish added that the president’s humane gesture coincides with the 40th anniversary of the UAE’s founding.
