Two teenaged sisters killed in fire

New Delhi, Nov 21 (IANS) Two teenaged sisters were burnt to death when a fire broke out in their east Delhi home, an officer said.

A fire in an electric appliance being used in the house is suspected to be behind the blaze. Then a cooking gas cylinder caught fire and exploded, police said.

According to the officer, the fire started around 5.40 a.m. at House No.419 of G.D. Colony in Mayur Vihar Phase-3.

The deceased, Rinki, 17 and Shivani, 18, daughters of Basant Kumar Gupta, died on the spot.

There were no reports of anyone else being injured so far.
