Two people found dead

New Delhi, Dec 2 (IANS) Two people, including a teenaged ragpicker, were found dead in different places in the capital and police said they could have died due to the cold.

In the first incident, a teenager was found dead in a community hall in Dabri in south Delhi Friday afternoon. The teenager, still unidentified, was a ragpicker and used to sleep in the community centre at night.

Police received a call Friday afternoon that a boy was lying unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. “We suspect he died of cold weather as he was sleeping on the floor. We are still waiting for the post-mortem,” said a police officer.

In the second incident, a man in his 50s was found lying dead on a platform of Shakurbasti Railway Station early in the morning.

The victim has not yet unidentified. Police suspect he died of cold weather. “He was found lying on the floor of the platform. He might have died of cold, however, the autopsy report is awaited,” said a police officer.
