Two more Kalmadi aides arrested in CWG scam
April 25th, 2011 - 7:06 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 25 (IANS) Two officials of the 2010 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (OC) — Sujit Lal and A.S.V. Prasad - were arrested Monday along with their former boss Suresh Kalmadi by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), an officer said.
Lal was the deputy director general (Procurement) and Prasad was the joint director general (Sports) in the OC.
Kalmadi was arrested after he was questioned again in connection with alleged irregularities in the contracts awarded for the Oct 3-14, 2010 mega sports event.
Both the officials were arrested minutes before Kalmadi, a CBI officer said.
