Two minor girls knocked down by teenage boy; one dies
June 21st, 2012 - 9:31 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 21 (IANS) A car being driven by a 16-year-old boy knocked down two minor girls here, killing one of them, police said Thursday.
The incident occurred Wednesday evening when the teenager was driving his businessman father’s car in a street near his house in south Delhi’s Jaitpur.
The two girls - Munni, 7, and Himanshi Singh, 4 - were playing in the street and were hit by the car. They were rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) where Munni was declared dead while Himanshi was stated to be critical.
“As soon as the boy, who studies in class 9, applied the back gear of the car, it went out of his control and hit the victims,” said a police official.
The boy has been sent to the juvenile justice home.
