Two men lynched in Bihar
December 28th, 2009 - 1:14 pm ICT by IANSPatna, Dec 28 (IANS) Two people were beaten to death by unidentified men in a Bihar village, police said Monday.
Gopal Singh and Umesh Singh were lynched late Sunday at Belar village in Nawada district, about 150 km from here.
A police officer said it appears that both the men were beaten to death with bricks, iron rods and bamboo sticks. “They were killed late Sunday night and their bodies were recovered early Monday in a field near the village,” the police officer said.
Angry over the incident, villagers protested and demanded arrest of assailants.
