Two men held with fake auto products

New Delhi, Jan 14 (IANS) Two men have been arrested for alleged involvement in selling spurious auto products, police said Saturday.

“Bijender Kumar, 36, and Anshu Aggarwal, 26, indulged in selling spurious lubricant products in the name of GLF and GMO by using the logo and design of the company, namely Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd,” said police.

Police recovered 400 and 420 bottle of lubricant oil of GMO and GLF with 3,600 fake stickers of GMO and other materials from the duo’s possession.

Acting on a complaint by Pankaj Gupta, authorized representative of Gulf Oil Corp, police apprehended Kumar from Punjabi Bagh in West Delhi Thursday. On further investigation, police arrested Aggarwal.

“During questioning, Kumar disclosed that the logo and design of GLF was made to look like ‘Gulf’. He used to sell one carton of GLF for Rs.1,000 while the price of one carton of Gulf is Rs.2,500,” police said.
