Two Maoists killed in West Bengal
November 15th, 2011 - 6:01 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Nov 15 (IANS) Two Maoists were killed in a gunfight with the security forces in West Bengal’s Purulia district, police said Tuesday.
“We recovered bodies of two Maoist guerrillas today (Tuesday) morning. They were killed in a gunfight between the Maoists and joint forces Monday night,” Superintendent of Police Sunil Choudhury told IANS.
A fierce gunfight took place in the Balrampur area of Purulia district, over 300 km from here, Monday night.
“While conducting a search operation after the gunfight ended, we recovered the bodies,” Choudhury said.
