Two Maoists held in Orissa
August 17th, 2010 - 6:50 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, Aug 17 (IANS) Two Maoists were arrested in Orissa’s mineral rich Keonjhar district Tuesday, police said.
Budhuram Sinku, 38, and Ananta Tudu, 32, were arrested from a forested area near Kaliahata village, about 300 km from here, during combing operations by police and security forces, Superintendent of Police A.K. Singh told IANS.
Both were cadres of the outlawed Communist Party of India-Maoist for the past two years. They were involved in several crimes, including in the burning of houses of innocent villagers in the locality recently, he said.
