Two Maoists held in Odisha
January 28th, 2012 - 6:20 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Bhubaneswar, Jan 28 (IANS) Two Maoists were arrested Saturday from a forested area of Odisha’s Malkangiri district, police said.
The two, accused of committing several crimes in the district during past five years, were picked up from Rajgiri forest under MV-79 police station area during a combing operation, a senior district police official told IANS.
Police have found Maoist literature in their possession, he said.
The district of Malkangiri, over 600 km from Bhubaneswar, is considered a rebel stronghold.
