Two Maoists held in Chhattisgarh
January 13th, 2012 - 12:21 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Raipur, Jan 12 (IANS) Two members of the banned Communist Party of India-Maoist were arrested Thursday in Chhattisgarh’s restive Bastar region, police said.
The arrests were made by a patrolling contingent comprising police and para-military troopers in a forested stretch of Bhanupratapur in Kanker district, some 280 km south of state capital Raipur.
The two men were wanted to stand trial in over a dozen attack cases in the Bastar region, officials at the police headquarters here told IANS.
