Two Maoists held for killing six in Bihar
July 4th, 2011 - 9:22 pm ICT by IANSPatna, July 4 (IANS) Two suspected Maoists were arrested Monday in Bihar’s Munger district for allegedly killing six villagers Saturday, police said.
Additional Director General of Police Rajwardhan Sharma said the rebels are being interrogated to collect more information on the massacre.
Nearly 50 armed Maoists Saturday stormed Bangalwa Kareli village, about 200 km from Patna. They killed six villagers and abducted 11 more.
The kidnapped villagers were released Sunday. The rebels attacked the villagers for allegedly supporting the police.
