Two killed in separate accidents
May 13th, 2011 - 1:00 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 12 (IANS) Two people were killed in separate accidents in west Delhi, police said Thursday.
Both the accidents took place in Punjabi Bagh Wednesday.
In the first incident, a speeding truck crashed into a pillar near the Punjabi Bagh metro station and overturned.
“The driver of the truck, Naseem, 50, was trapped inside and by the time he was pulled out by fire officials, he succumbed to his injuries,” said a police officer.
“In the second incident reported from near Punjabi Bagh flyover, a speeding bus hit an auto-rickshaw leading to death of its driver, identified as Data Ram,” added the officer.
“The Rajasthan Roadways bus was involved in the accident and its driver Rameshwar has been arrested,” the officer said.
