Two killed in Orissa plant blast (Lead)
April 9th, 2011 - 10:08 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, April 9 (IANS) At least two people were killed and two others were injured Saturday when oxygen cylinders exploded in a plant near Orissa’s Rourkela city, police said.
The accident took place in Asiatic Gases plant at Vedvyas, about 500 km from here.
The company manufactures and markets industrial gases. Police suspect a snag in the cooling system may have caused the explosion.
Company officials were not immediately available for comments.
