Two killed in Maharashtra truck accident
October 24th, 2010 - 7:58 pm ICT by IANSHingoli (Maharashtra), Oct 24 (IANS) Two members of a wedding party were killed and 40 injured in Maharashtra’s Hingoli district when a truck in which they were travelling overturned Sunday, police said.
The accident took place around 10 a.m. in Kurunda village. Those killed were identified as Firoze Shaikh and Irfan Shaikh, police said.
“The driver lost control of the vehicle and tried to apply brakes but it overturned in the process,” a police official said.
The truck was carrying around 45 people, he said.
