Two killed in landslide
March 27th, 2011 - 1:36 am ICT by IANSSiliguri, March 27 (IANS) Two people were killed and two injured Saturday in a landslide in West Bengal’s Darjeeling district, police said.
“Two people were killed in a landslide in the Sevoke area of Kurseong. Two were injured and they were hospitalised,” said Nima Bhutia, subdivisional police officer, Kurseong official.
The incident happened when a car, carrying four people, was passing through the Sevoke area. Two boulders fell on the car, injuring three passengers and killing one of them. Among the three injured, one person died on the way to hospital.
