Two killed in Delhi road accidents
December 21st, 2010 - 12:37 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 20 (IANS) Two people were killed Monday in separate accidents on the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor in south Delhi, police said.A 25-year-old driver was killed while three of his friends were injured after a four-wheeler they were travelling in hit the road divider in Chirag Dilli area around 3.30 a.m.
An iron rod installed in the road divider pierced the driver’s chest, killing him on the spot. The others sustained minor injuries.
In the second incident, a man came under the wheels of a Blueline bus after alighting from it at Ambedkar Nagar around 10 a.m. Victim Kishore, who hailed from Bihar, was going towards Sarojini Nagar.
“He fell down while alighting from the bus and came under the wheels,” a police official said.
He died on way to hospital, he added.
