Two killed in Delhi building collapse
May 17th, 2011 - 9:31 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 17 (IANS) Two people were killed and one injured when an under-construction building in east Delhi collapsed Tuesday, a fire official said.
“The incident took place at 4.20 p.m. when a four-storey building which was under construction in Guru Nanak Enclave collapsed. Two people have been killed and one injured,” the official said.
Two bodies were recovered from the debris and the injured person, a woman, has been taken to a nearby hospital, the officer said.
“Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the rescue work is still on (at 7 p.m.). The cause of the collapse is not known yet,” the officer added.
