Two killed in Agra accident
November 7th, 2009 - 10:22 pm ICT by IANSAgra, Nov 7 (IANS) Two men were killed and another critically injured when a speeding milk tanker hit their scooter here Saturday, police said.
The accident occurred in the morning near the TDI Mall, close to the Taj Mahal, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Haider and Shah Rukh, while the third man on the scooter Munnu was rushed to the hospital, where his condition was stated to be critical, police added.
A bystander was also injured in the accident, but was discharged from the hospital after treatment, police said.
Locals and family members of the deceased blocked traffic and the police had to use mild force to disperse them, an official said.
District authorities announced a compensation of Rs.20,000 for the families of the deceased.
