Two killed in accidents in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 3 (IANS) Two people were killed in separate accidents in the national capital, the police said Sunday. According to police, a motorcyclist died after colliding with another bike in Narela in northwest Delhi.

“The accident took place today morning near Sindhu border when Gurdeep, who was on motorcycle, collided head-on with another motorcyclist, Kapil,” a police official said.

Gurdeep was a resident of Sonepat of Hayana and was returning home when the accident took place. Kapil is a resident of Narela area.

“They were taken to Raja Harish Chandra Hospital where doctors declared Gurdep brought dead while Kapil, who was critically injured, was referred to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital,” a police official said.

In the other case, a 27-year-old man was killed Sunday in a hit-and-run case in Vasant Kunj in southwest Delhi.

“The deceased, Chaman Das, was walking near roadside when he was crushed by an unidentified vehicle. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead,” a police official said.
