Two killed as train rams into car
July 31st, 2010 - 8:01 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, July 31 (IANS) Two people were killed and as many injured when a speeding train rammed into a car at an unmanned railway crossing in Jharkhand’s Seraikela- Kharsawan district Saturday, police said.
According to police, an Alto car carrying four people was hit by the Pune-Howrah Azad Hind express at the railway crossing in the district, which is around 160 km from Ranchi.
A wheel of the car got trapped in the railway track leading to the accident, police said.
Two people died on the spot. The two injured people were shifted to hospital by local residents.
