Two killed as bikers torch shop
January 28th, 2012 - 11:21 pm ICT by IANSPune, Jan 28 (IANS) A bikers’ gang burnt down a garment shop, killing two of the three co-owners, in Maharashtra’s Pune city, police said Saturday.
According to police, 8-10 bikers came armed with metal rods and poured petrol on the shop Friday before torching it in Dhankawadi area in south Pune. They also had a fight with the shop co-owners before they set it on fire.
“Anish Jain, 21, Sunny More, 21 and Swapnil More, 19, were present in the shop during the fight,” a police official said.
Anish succumbed to his injuries Friday night and Swapnil died Saturday evening. Sunny, Swapnil’s brother, is battling for his life in hospital.
