Two killed, 18 injured in accident near Fatehpur Sikri
September 24th, 2009 - 11:53 am ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Agra, Sep 24 (IANS) Two people were killed and 18 injured when a tanker carrying liquified petroleum gas (LPG) hit a tractor-trailer carrying more than 30 passengers close to Fatehpur Sikri, police said Thursday.
The incident occurred Wednesday.
Villagers immediately rushed the injured to Agra’s SN Medical College where two of the victims were declared dead, while the condition of at least four others was critical, doctors said.
All the injured are from a village near Achnera town, 30 km from here.
Police said the driver and cleaner of the LPG tanker were absconding.
Villagers said the tractor was on the wrong carriageway.
