Two injured in leopard attack
September 22nd, 2011 - 4:19 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Sep 22 (IANS) A leopard grievously injured a nine-year-old girl and a 50-year-old man in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district, an official said Thursday.
The leopard strayed out of the Nishangarha range of Katarniaghat forest reserve Wednesday and attacked Ratna and Balbir in the fields.
“They are out of danger but under observation. Officials will ensure that the leopard is driven back to the forest area,” Divisional Forest Officer R.K. Singh told reporters in Bahraich, 140 km from here.
