Two injured in fire at Delhi’s CGO complex
November 1st, 2011 - 11:36 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS) A fire broke out in an underground parking facility in central Delhi’s high security CGO complex, officials said Tuesday. Two paramilitary personnel sustained minor injuries while around 20 vehicles were damaged in the blaze, which has been doused.
The incident was reported at 5:05 p.m. in the complex which houses several sensitive departments like the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and others.
“The BSF (Border Security Force) personnel sustained minor injuries when they attempted to take out their belongings stored in the parking lot. They were discharged after treatment,” said a police official.
“Around 12 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire,” said a police official.
The cause of the fire is not known yet, said police.
