Two held with brown sugar
December 2nd, 2009 - 9:03 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Raipur, Dec 2 (IANS) A man and his father-in-law have been arrested in Chhattisgarh on charges of smuggling brown sugar worth Rs.4 million, police said Wednesday.
Vimal and his father-in-law Jairam were caught from the northern town Ambikapur Tuesday night. The police seized brown sugar estimated to be worth Rs.4 million from them, police sources told IANS.
Ambikapur town is located some 350 km from here and the arrests were made following a tip-off.
