Two held trying to kidnap two women
October 6th, 2011 - 1:54 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 6 (IANS) Two youths were apprehended for allegedly attempting to kidnap two women in north Delhi Wednesday night, police said.
The women were headed towards their home in Rohini, Sector 20 when the accused tried to force them inside a Skoda car.
The incident took place at around 10 p.m. when the two women along with their brother were returning home. As they were crossing Dipali Chowk of south Rohini, a Skoda car stopped near them. The accused allegedly passed lewd comments and tried to misbehave with them. Just as the women protested, the two youths tried to force them into the car.
The women, however, raised an alarm and locals gathered at the spot. Seeing locals approaching towards them, the youth tried to escape but could not flee.
Locals informed the police who nabbed them from the spot.
