Two held for snatching cop’s chain
August 29th, 2011 - 11:24 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 29 (IANS) Two bike-borne chain snatchers were arrested after they targeted a woman police constable in west Delhi, police said Monday.
Jitender Bhardwaj, 20, and Hemant, 19, were nabbed from Najafgarh Saturday evening when constable Sonia and her sister-in-law, a teacher, were walking towards their home, police said.
They snatched Sonia’s gold chain. She raised an alarm following which a sub-inspector, who was on way to police station chased and caught the bikers with help from people, police said.
