Two held for smuggling liquor
March 10th, 2010 - 7:19 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab), March 10 (IANS) Two men were arrested in Punjab’s Fatehgarh Sahib district for trying to smuggle liquor out of the state, police said Wednesday. Nearly 600 cases of alcohol were seized.
The men, from Rajasthan, were arrested Tuesday night in Sirhind town, about 40 km from Chandigarh. “We laid a trap and arrested Madan Singh and Dharan Singh,” Superintendent of Police (Detective) Pritam Singh said.
