New Delhi, March 24 (IANS) A man and his relative have been arrested in south Delhi for raping a 30-year-old married woman twice in two days, making video clips of the incident and blackmailing her, police said Thursday.

The victim was raped by Shorum Chauhan, 41, and his nephew Umesh Chauhan, 38, Monday and Tuesday in Madanpur Khadar area of Sarita Vihar in south Delhi.

The duo were held Tuesday from their home in the same area and a mobile phone, in which they made the victim’s video clips, was seized.

“The medical report confirmed rape. The investigation is still on and the phone have been sent to forensic department,” said the officer.

The victim, who was raped by them twice in two days, got married six years ago and was involved in a divorce case in a Delhi court. She was living with her parents in Madanpur Khadar. The accused lived close to her parents’ house.

Police said Chauhan went to the victim’s house Monday and asked her to visit his home urgently as his wife wanted to talk to her.

“The victim rushed to Chauhan’s house where he locked her. Umesh was already present in the house and was in a drunken state. The both raped her and made a video clip in a mobile phone,” said a senior police officer.

They threatened to kill her and circulate the video by making CDs of it. “The scared victim rushed home,” said the officer.

Chauhan again went to her house Tuesday and asked her to come to his house or else he would circulate the video. She complied. He took her to a building under-construction where she was raped again and made another video clip.

“She went home and narrated the whole incident to her family members who then lodged a complaint,” said the officer.

“Cases of rape, illegal confinement and threat to kill have been registered against them,” said a senior police officer.

Earlier in 2003, the duo were held in a rape case and served a jail term of five years each.
