Two held for murdering teen
May 30th, 2011 - 3:01 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, May 29 (IANS) Two people have been arrested for murdering a 19-year-old in north Delhi earlier this week, police said Sunday.
The accused, identified as Vipin Mohan and Nitin Mohan, were arrested from Yamuna Bazaar area Saturday.
“The incident took place this Friday near Katra Rang Mahal when Vipin and Nitin stabbed Rohit in his stomach, chest and back with a dagger and fled. Rohit was taken to LNJP (Lok Nayak Jaya Prakash) Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” said a police officer.
The officer said Vipin disclosed that he felt humiliated after he was slapped by Rohit on a trivial issue Friday (May 27) and wanted to teach him a lesson. He discussed it with Nitin, they arranged a dagger, and attacked Rohit that night only as he was on his way home.
