Two held for murder in Delhi
March 5th, 2011 - 12:41 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 4 (IANS) Two people were arrested here Friday for beating a 35-year-old drunken man to death for creating a ruckus during a marriage, police said Friday.
“During investigations, we found that Mohan Lal went for a marriage ceremony at the house of Uma Shankar in Moti Nagar area,” said a senior police officer.
“He got drunk and started dancing and and using filthy language. The father of the bride, Uma Shanker, noticed Lal was arguing with the DJ. Shanker went to stop him but he did not listen. Two relatives of Shanker, Deepu Prashad and Mangru, thrashed the victim him and asked him to leave,” said the officer.
Later Lal’s body was found on the road March 1. He was identified by the tailor’s tag on his clothes.
“Shanker and Prasad were arrested from Moti Nagar Thursday,” said the officer.
