Two held for harassing women on train
July 3rd, 2011 - 12:33 am ICT by IANSGhaziabad, July 2 (IANS) Two men who boarded a women’s compartment of the Faizabad Express at Pilkhuwa and harassed women passengers were arrested at Hapur, the Government Railway Police (GRP) said Saturday.
Subhash and Babloo, both residents of Hapur, were arrested and a case under penal provisions for obscene acts and assault was registered against them at the GRP post at Hapur.
The two men got into the compartment and attempted to assault the women and committed obscene acts, including singing vulgar songs.
The women called police in when the train reached Hapur station.
