Two held for evading trial
March 9th, 2011 - 11:21 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 9 (IANS) Two men who were evading arrest for over a year in a robbery case being heard by a court were arrested from west Delhi, police said Wednesday.
“Ajay and Mahesh Kumar were held from Kirti Nagar Tuesday following a tip-off,” Deputy Commissioner of Police V. Renganathan said.
The duo had killed and robbed Raj Kumar in Naraina July 8, 2009 and were absconding since then. Each had a bounty of Rs.25,000 on his head.
During investigation, police found that they robbed Raj as they wanted money to make a pilgrimage to Haridwar.
