According to police, the girl is a Class 4 student at a government school and the accused have been identified as Anil Kumar and Mohammed Umar. The duo was nabbed Monday after the victim’s uncle complained to the police.
According to police, Umar tried to rape the girl a week ago when she was all alone in her house. She ran away and later Umar threatened her of dire consequences if she said anything to anybody.
Seeing that the victim was mum over the issue, Umar told his friend Anil about the whole incident. Anil, too, then made an attempt to rape the girl but she fled from his clutches also.
On Monday, the victim narrated the two incidents to her sister after which their uncle approached the police.
“All of them live as tenants in the same building. We have apprehended the accused,” a police officer said.
