Two hanged in Iran
October 25th, 2011 - 2:57 am ICT by IANSTehran, Oct 25 (IANS/AKI) Iran Monday hanged two people — one for beating a policeman to death and the other for drug trafficking, according to national media.
One man was executed in Khoramdareh, while the second was hanged in Arbedi, Fars news agency reported.
Homicide and drug trafficking carries the death penalty in Iran.
Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, the US and Yemen execute the highest number of people, says human rights group Amnesty International.
