Two dead in Pakistan stadium blast (Lead)
July 30th, 2011 - 1:03 am ICT by IANSIslamabad, July 29 (IANS) At least two people, including a nephew of the Balochistan chief minister, were killed and 30 others were injured in a blast that took place in a football stadium in Pakistan Friday evening, Geo News reported.
The blast occurred during the prize distribution ceremony inside a football stadium in Mastung in Balochistan province - some 80 km from provincial capital Quetta, witnesses said.
Sources said armed men also opened indiscriminate firing at people outside the stadium.
Mir Akmal Raisani, nephew of Balochistan Chief Minister Aslam Raisani, was injured in the incident and succumbed in a Quetta hospital.
Witnesses told Xinhua an unidentified man threw a hand grenade at Raisani when he was heading to his car after distributing prizes.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
